New Networks for Nature 2016
22nd - 24th September 2016
NNN is a broad alliance of creators - poets, authors, scientists, film makers, visual artists, environmentalists, musicians and composers - whose work draws strongly on the natural environment.
This year I am contributing; firstly, by giving a Drawn to Nature workshop on Saturday 11.30 - 13.00, and secondly by taking part as one of the presenters in the final session on the theme of Hope.
There are still places for all elements of the conference; for more information see New Networks for Nature website
Workshop
Drawn to Nature
Saturday 4th September 11.30 - 13.00,
The workshop is an introduction to observational drawing and ideas about nexploring nature by learning to see more creatively and responding more spontaneously. Working from museum specimes we will work on the character of lines and tones, negative spaces, and all kinds of mark-making from loose and gestural to controlled and neat.
