The Arctic

I first visited the Arctic in the late 1980's as part of the Artist on Migration story which involoved following migrating birds from Africa to the high Arctic in spring and back again at the end of summer.  I needed to observe the lives of key birds breeding on the tundra.

Courtesy of my great friend Robert Burton and his close association at the time with Arcturus Expeditions  I was able to spend three weeks working in north-east Greenland.

Subsequent visits were as a naturalist and artist with Wildwings and One Ocean Expeditions.
